Orcus is a leading software development company based in New Zealand which specializes in the development and printing of identification cards and software. They also have strong ties with media and operate their own satellite signals in New Zealand.
DCG assisted Orcus with the packaging and marketing of new printing software. They also helped in the establishment of a new market segment by negotiating deals with both large companies and vendors. DCG also created a supply chain for Orcus, and now has offices all over the world that use Orcus software. DCG achieved such goals by working with hardware companies to adjust products in order for them to be compatible with Orcus software. DCG also developed a patent for all Orcus software and goods.
DCG was responsible for the development of the first ever A-Z card printing software, cutting the needed software applications needed to produce the identification cards from 3 to 1, resulting in a tremendous cut in costs. DCG also established a calling cards system which is still operational to this date. Currently, DCG is working with Orcus in order to develop a state-of-the-art hospital management software application to be used in hospitals worldwide. In addition, DCG helped develop a media section for the New Zealand-based software company. They were involved from phase one in the negotiations with vendors to pick up the broadcasts of their signals. DCG has also
been responsible for the marketing of their satellite station and has negotiated with banks to ensure financing for the media sector of their company. As of July 01, 2007, the Orcus media signal began covering all of Auckland and is expected to rapidly increase to the rest of New Zealand in the near future. Currently, the station only features Indian stations, though Arab, Philippine, Asian, Chinese and Russian languages are coming soon.
