During the past 30 years, we have completed thousands of projects of varying complexity in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Quebec, the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
We have refined understanding for client and market priorities in all facets of the mechanical and civil engineering field from engineering assessments and studies through typical and specialized design commissions, document production, contract administration, design/build, energy studies, field inspection and supervision, to building systems commissioning and consulting services for building operations.

Approach and Methodology
DCG’s internal Management Approach is based on the project Task Force assignment where specific key personnel are assigned as job leaders for each discipline. These leaders are the most experienced and proficient engineers having related experience applicable to the specific project. Project Management is a step function which provides a checklist of activities that must be reviewed prior to proceeding. Each discipline must complete a checklist and an interdisciplinary review to ensure an accurate overall engineering effort. DCG’s initial step is to define our clients’ objectives with a detailed scope of work and a deliverable project list.
Quality assurance is implemented at the schematic design stage (conceptual). DCG’s quality assurance is an inclusive review of each discipline as well as an overall discipline coordination. Quality assurance procedures include random selection of the worst case scenario for verification of specific design parameters and for each disciplines task. Project Management overview integrates schedule and cost control into each and every aspect of design. DCG’s project management objective is to develop a design that satisfies all requirements and is economically feasible to construct. To that end, cost estimating is within the preview and capabilities of each Discipline project leader. Without sacrificing quality control or cost control, DCG understands that the schedule is of the utmost importance and prepares a detailed time line for each item on the project deliverable list and proceeds on schedule by adjusting manpower activity to finish on time.
